Fall is the kickoff to my favorite time of year. Football is a big reason for my obsession with the sweater weather season! Football has been a part of my life since I can remember. I think I dressed up like a cheerleader 3 or 4 years in a row during my elementary years. I have memories …

Moms everywhere are trying to hold it together whe Moms everywhere are trying to hold it together when inside we feel like a teapot about to blow. It can feel like we’re drastically under-reacting for those us not in the heart of crisis in Chicago, DC, Portland or Los Angeles, feeling unable to move this energy in a physical, measurable way. There’s not a lot to do physically where I live. I will continue to show up in other ways but it just never FEELS enough, but ALL of it counts. ALL of it matters. When we make intentional choices to do anything in resistance, we are making change. So much thanks, and so many blessings to those there, on the ground, putting themselves in harms way, taking the physical risks. We see you. We’re cheering for you 🫶🏻

Using music in different ways daily to enhance our learning and connection is an essential part of our unschooling. Learning choreography is fun but not necessary to experience these benefits.

Trying to raise kind humans, fold the never-ending Trying to raise kind humans, fold the never-ending laundry, remember to drink water, believe in magic, and hold space for joy while
🍉 there are children starving to death
🧊 being torn from their parents
🗂️ being r@ped by our leaders and celebrities
🚼 living forced pregnancy
🎒and being sh0t at in schools
feels impossible.

Impossible to keep our nervous systems steady, stay human, stay soft, stay present, stay intentional, and live like the world isn’t on fire.

We weren’t meant to carry this much stress, grief, anxiety and anger. It feels so helpless to watch this play out through the glow of our little screens.

We can only control what we can control—just 15 minutes of fighting fascism a day, then connection, community, and pockets of joy, like wildflowers pushing through concrete 🌻🤍✨

We CANNOT burn out...
We cannot look away…
We still have a part to play…
We are not alone…
We can get through this together.
