Happy Christmas & Merry Everything, from our famil Happy Christmas & Merry Everything, from our family to yours. 🎄🤍✨
.
I’ve been sick and only able to do the bare minimum the past few days. We still had a magical morning, slow and cozy. Ordered pizza for Christmas Eve dinner and had cereal and bacon (made by @e.padgett) for Christmas breakfast. Just a reminder to myself of the things that really make this time of year special and how important it is to make your own traditions and do what’s right for your family. If you were able to go all out for your family, I hope it’s because you find your joy in the making. Some years I do and some years I don’t, and that’s okay. No matter what mode I’m in, I always enjoy my day, and so do the kids. #christmasmagic
A friendly Friday dance party to remind you, We’ A friendly Friday dance party to remind you, We’re gonna be FINE! So fine. Ain’t no doubt about it… That Full moon was intense in our house, Eek! Lots of tears and high emotions on little sleep, the kids and me. We made it… and we’re gonna be fine!
.
The kids have been all about the Zombies 3 soundtrack lately… not gonna lie, this song is kinda fire 🔥

Sometimes, what you gotta do isn’t what you thin Sometimes, what you gotta do isn’t what you think…. and you have the option of pulling on your big girl pants and doing it, or staying on the wondering path.
.
Part of knowing what way to go is trust. I’ve been actively strengthening my trust muscle and intuition for 3 years. If I hadn’t, I may not have heard the ping (message from Spirit/Universe) to homeschool my kids. It’s not the first time I’ve gotten this message either, but it’s the first time I didn’t allow the global community to influence my decisions.
.
It’s been a big shift in our lives, one I was not prepared for but one that is absolutely best for my family. I have no idea what I’m doing. Still trying to figure it out and make our house work in flow, all while juggling my mental and physical health.
.
My big girl pants are all the way on. My intuition is tuned in. My trust is always there when I’m sinking in doubt or frustration. If you want to tune into the messages and guidance your spirit guides, loved ones, and past & future selves have for you, try these simple exercises…
.
Pay attention! That little nagging feeling that you should reach out and confirm a play date or meeting- trust it! This is one of my biggest tests I fail often because I don’t want to bother people. It always ends up in waisted time, my biggest pet peeve. When you hear something that can be easily dismissed as anxiety, pause and feel it in your body. Fear and knowing will live in different parts of the body and you have to figure what parts those are for you. Anxiety lives in my gut, and pings are in my mind only… like a ding of a bell or thought cloud passing by.
.
Another great trust builder is to manifest something little and silly. I love to manifest cupcakes or free coffee! They bring me joy and are usually gifted from gratitude or celebration. It can be ANYTHING unique to you to know the Universe is watching. You can even ask for a sign, Watch! You ask for frogs, and the frogs will lead you where you need to go!
.
Do you have any small manifestations or trust practices you use? #manifestmagic #trustyourintuition
If you don’t want to be judged for your politica If you don’t want to be judged for your political beliefs, you’re voting for the the wrong politicians. I’m proud to stand for my beliefs and give a voice to those who cannot uplift themselves. I will always choose the path that is love for all. 🤍✨ #votelikeamother You can label me whatever you want, I wear them proudly. Our leadership isn’t always perfect, I don’t always agree with them, but in a situation where I have to choose, I chose the greater good, and do so with pride and knowing that we WILL change this world for the better. #chooselove

Trying to be a #mindfulmama takes work and practic Trying to be a #mindfulmama takes work and practice. Here are some tools and resources to help you find something that works for you. Some situations only require one of these steps and some require all, in this order.
.
Pause… no real tools needed here. However, majority of frustration are caused because we are narrowly focused on the moment and probably in a rush. It feels like taking a moment is losing a moment, but you’re gaining your sanity and ability to be emotionally present. Taking a moment to meditate in the morning can have true effects on your mental capacity each day!
.
Breathe. Deep breath’s are a great start. There are many different types of breathing exercises you can try. Sometimes when I’m #fuckstrated around my kids I invite them to breathe with me. Insight Timer is a favorite app that has both meditations and breathing exercises for free. Let me know if you try it!
.
Move. Sometimes frustration can make us feel outside our body. Grounding can really help us see the moment in a new way. There are many somatic exercises you can do. Put your hands like you’re going o give yourself a hug and stroke your arms with you hands. Tapping the meridian’s of the body will help move the energy out of the body (aka EFT or emotional freedom technique). Check out @thetappingsolution If you’re not in the middle of a conversation dance is a fantastic way to bring it back. Pick music for whatever mood you’re in and let it flow.
.
Reflect. Why am I really fuckstrated? This one is the hardest one, because YOU ARE ALWAYS the cause due to how you handle this situation. So- lean in, why are you really triggered? Now move to step 5…
.
Star over. We were not raised in a generation of people, especially parents, apologizing or realigning. This is one my biggest passions to teach parents. It’s okay to stop and say, “you know what, mommy needs a minute” an come back with “I’m sorry I lost my temper, I used angry words, mommy is just frustrated because.. and that’s not your fault, I shouldn’t take out on you. Can we start over?”. This goes with anyone in any situation. We are all human and no matter how much we meditate or breathe, we lose our sh*t. 🤍✨
I’m the problem. I’m ALWAYS the problem. When I’m the problem. I’m ALWAYS the problem. When we are triggered by someone else, it has NOTHING to do with them. Have you heard the mantra “I can only control how I respond”?
.
People can say mean or offensive things and you do have the ability to respond in a calm and respectful manner… even if you’re offended or passionate.
.
Allowing someone to trigger you by their words or actions is YOU allowing them into your field of energy. *stop it*
.
I get triggered #alldayeveryday by my kids, husband, family, and unreasonable expectations I’ve put on myself. It’s part of being human. The world is a mirror into our soul.
.
Every day I get a little bit better about asking myself what the real problem is. Kids are allowed to make mistakes, forget things, be distracted, be loud, make messes, and push boundaries. Part of my homeschool commitment is to #letkidsbekids. It takes a lot of conscious parenting practice to stay calm and regulated. It takes even more work at different times in my cycle and the moon 🌙 phases.
.
Once you are aware that anything and everything that makes you upset is YOU, you will be set free!!! People can be purposefully hurtful or ignorantly rude and you will see them with empathy, not anger or frustration.
.
The Work: write down all the things you have been triggered by lately. Think about when the feeling behind the interaction that triggered you (not being heard, felt stupid, felt ugly, felt in danger) and think about your childhood and how/when something happened to make you feel that way. Write down this memory and then either write it again or meditate as you write in a way you wish it had happened. You can replace the parents/people with someone who embodies the characteristics of what you would’ve needed in that moment.
.
Once you’re done rewriting the past, write down the future. Imagine yourself tomorrow in the same situation that happened to trigger you today and roll play how you want it to go next time.
.
I actually write notes to myself of what I want to say and put them where this interaction usually takes place so I can quickly be reminded of the new reaction I want to have.
